Don't Quit Your Day Job by Aeires Don't Quit Your Day Job by Aeires
Yes, there are worse jobs out there.

I was waiting at a crosswalk on Michigan Ave in Chicago when I looked over and saw this guy cleaning windows.

very nice eye on the patterns..you could've emphasized more his location in relation to the height of the building...but still a nice composition

Love this one. For some reason, my favourite part is the reflections in the windows themselves...

Yeah, hope so. Don't think he did, I was kinda far away using a zoom lens. :D

I know someone who used to do that.

Used to, because he fell three stories. :( But he is all right now, miraculously...

I hope this guy likes to fly... <__< Interesting building though, I can't exactly explain why but I kinda' like it. :) Might be because it reminds me of our buildings here... You're pretty lucky to always have that camera with you on the right moments. :devilish:

I wish I had a smaller one of good quality to always carry around, but I've pulled over on the side of the road on occasion as I saw something worth shooting. :D

I was really surprised considering the zoom was at 230mm and it was a rushed shot.

It's really weird to see glass distorted like that. Wonder if it has to do with the height of the building and it settling due to age.

Oh wow! Well spotted and captured. Most guys have a little platform with railings these days, so this is pretty minimalist equipment.

Great shot!

I saw some of those guys also, but they were on the bigger buildings. This was maybe a dozen floors total and he was somewhere around the 5th floor. Still high enough up to make me not want that job.

See, for me the heights would be cool. I parachute and am a total rollercoaster junkie, but I'd hate the cleaning part.

Boy, I hate cleaning... LOL!

Parasailing? I think I get what you mean, it does look a lot like being pulled along while anchored to a harness. Something a little more reassuring being over water though. :D

Thanks, Adam. Not sure I would want to do that either. I saw a few buildings being cleaned walking around that day but this was the only guy that didn't have a platform, with the exception of the maintenance guy on the Gothica shot.
