First, I downloaded the newer version of apophysis (2.03b) to see what it was all about. So far I'm really impressed how they made the program more friendly to use and cured a lot of the old problems. Not sure about the new variations but it handles the old ones fine. Does this mean I'm back in the flame game? Time will tell.
Secondly, DA now has a fractal gallery. Every time I check it, there's nothing there so I figured I'd make my contribution to help get the gallery going. I've been wanting to do a wall with fractals for a while now so I figured now was a good enough time.
Haven't used apophysis in my gallery for quite a while so any feedback would be appreciated.
The new version allows you to click and grab the image to move it around, as well as rotate, and it has preset values for moving triangles so that it is easier to move them. Also comes with more variations and around 600 gradients. It's not on the site so you'll have to google apophysis 2.03b for it (can't remember where the site was).
It has been a while since we've seen a fractal from you. Looks great. Loving the focal point in the center, and how it radiates out. really eye catching image
I love the subtlety of the tones and wispy overlapping of colours on the outside. The box in the middle is so vibrant and colourful, it really is the highlight of this, I feel like it might have more character if the box was more centred though, hmm I dunno.
