Nature Finds A Way by Aeires Nature Finds A Way by Aeires
It started as a fractal leaf. Fractal leaves fascinate me. I don't know why, they just do. After working on lighting and colors, I started to hunt for textures. First came the marble texture, then I found the bricks, so that theme matched.

The name I had a hard time with, probably because I kept thinking "Welcome to the Jungle," by Guns and Roses. :giggle: Anyway, one of the lines from Jurassic Park that still hangs with me is when one of the scientists states that nature will find a way, right after they had discovered the dinosaurs had changed their sex in order to not die off. Add to that I remembered watching a show on Inca and Mayan societies that had become overrun with trees to the point they were completely hidden. Like ivy clinging to a brick wall...

And this still isn't what I wanted to do with this image. Really frustrating formula, and I've been working on this way too long with only this to show. Time to move on.

Created with Ultra Fractal.

Now that it's full size (from when I first looked at it), it's actually quite impressive Jeff.

Awesome textures. My immediate reaction when I saw the full view was that I was looking at the inside of some kind of alien organic tunnel wall. Very cool work Aeires!!

This is the best things I've seen from you in a while. Maybe it is because of the "natural" theme. The shading is right on. The leaf is absorbing the brick and making it an part of its structure...interesting idea.
