Thanks for all the feedback, faves, and advice on the first posting of this image. I renamed the original and threw it into scraps so that I could preserve the name of this one. Anyway, most people liked this section the most so I went back into the file and moved things around. I also found some different coloring algorythms that worked better to provide more depth to the image. Still debating on rendering this for print so if it shows up in your inbox in a couple days, that's the reason. Hope you like this version more.

This image reminds me of the book "Where the Red Ferns Grow", just because it looks like a tangle of red ferns.
As always, nice work. One of these days I'm going to have to dabble in fractals so I can get a better feel for what goes into one of these pieces.
Maybe that'll be my next deviantVENTURE.
