Artist's Comments

Thanks for all the feedback, faves, and advice on the first posting of this image. I renamed the original and threw it into scraps so that I could preserve the name of this one. Anyway, most people liked this section the most so I went back into the file and moved things around. I also found some different coloring algorythms that worked better to provide more depth to the image. Still debating on rendering this for print so if it shows up in your inbox in a couple days, that's the reason. Hope you like this version more. :)

Through The Forrest by =Aeires is a wonderful fractal creation with beautiful and smooth colors that make you get lost in the image. Be sure to have a look. (Featured by `grubin)

No offense, but I do like this one better then the original.

This image reminds me of the book "Where the Red Ferns Grow", just because it looks like a tangle of red ferns.

As always, nice work. One of these days I'm going to have to dabble in fractals so I can get a better feel for what goes into one of these pieces.

Maybe that'll be my next deviantVENTURE. :D

This version seems to me more clear for some reason. I love the colors:D

Absolutely love this one jeff, such a different feel from the other one. Those feathered patterns are amazing, love the color, superb work

No problem, I agree. The first one was more of experimenting with new techniques while using a very difficult formula. It received a lot of advice so I went with what was said and I'm grateful for the help that was provided.

Sounds cool, if you ever need help, just ask. Fractals aren't rocket science. :D

Well ... I don't want to go into fractals thinking they are easy. GOOD fractals are not. I think that is the key, and I don't ever want to do anything and not try to be the best at it possible.

But trust me, I will definitely keep you in mind the whole time.

I like this better than the original as well, for a few reason: less fuzzy noize, more broadly defined shapes, and it's not just a big spiral.

Good work!
