Patiently waiting for the message center changes to take effect, and hoping very much they will give us the ability to reverse order the messages so we can clear the oldest first. Have to wait and see but the changes to the rest of the site seem very smooth and well thought out.
As for me, changes occurring again. Interviewed last Wednesday, was offered the position yesterday, told my manager about the offer today. I'll be letting them know Monday what my decision is but for right now, I'm heavily leaning towards taking the new job. It's still with the same base organization, just a different branch. I'll be going from clinical engineering to communication, big changes that will cause me to go into another learning mode for some time until I get the hang of it all.
I'll be working in a different hospital as well. Won't be spending much time in Indiana, both the hospitals I'll be helping will be in Illinois. That'll give me a slightly longer commute, but only about 15 to 20 minutes or so. Not too bad. Lot to think about this weekend. For all the people who prayed and supported me, many thanks.

But I'm on call this week for the hospital I'm at, won't be doing much as far as getting out. One of the guys is having a cookout at his place, all the engineers are invited. It's still within close distance to the hospital so I won't be holding anyone up if they need my services. I'm sure the guys will want details of what I'll be doing so I'll be dropping by there but the rest of the weekend will probably be cleaning the house, working on some new art, browsing for some new art, and watching the Cubs. The Cubs part makes the whole weekend worthwhile.

And home made ice cream rocks. Best new gadget I've bought in a long time. Have a batch in the fridge right now waiting to cool down so it can be churned.

Other than that, I haven't been logging on much. Slowly but surely giving up hope on ever cleaning up the message center, but I try.
As for me, I watching the 'Stros play this weekend (on tv, that is).
Been also catching up on all my Tom Baker Dr. Who run. I'm in the middle of "Full Cirlce" in the E Space Trilogy right now.
Need to get out my old Dr Who vids and have a self proclaimed time lord marathon.
Home made ice-creams must be awesome
I've seen everything from thermometers not working to rushing into a surgery room while the patient is having his brain operated on. Never boring, always stressful.
Ice cream is as good as the recipe and the preparation. Vanilla isn't going too bad, hope to get mint chocolate chip down next.
And if you're going to make mint chocolate chip ice creams...
